What is EffectSite?
EffectSite is an independent repository for anaesthesia exam practice. It currently contains recalled past-paper questions and a separate collection of FRCA material. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by an examination college or professional body.
How reliable are recalled questions?
Past-paper wording and answers have been reconstructed from available notes and recollections. Some may be incomplete, paraphrased, outdated or incorrect. Treat the bank as a study prompt, not an official source, and check important details against current authoritative references.
How do I build a practice set?
Open Question bank, choose one or more paper sittings, optionally filter by topic, and decide whether to exclude, include or practise only FRCA material. You can also target flagged questions, previous mistakes, weak areas or questions due for review.
Why do some FRCA questions look different?
Much of the FRCA collection was originally written as five true-or-false statements rather than single-best-answer questions. Where identified, EffectSite lets you practise those statements individually or in their original groups.
Why is an account required?
Your account lets EffectSite securely keep attempts, results, flags and private notes together across your phone and computer. Passwords are handled by Supabase authentication and cannot be viewed by the site administrator.
How are results calculated?
The Results page summarises the answers saved to your account. You can filter by period, paper, topic, material and question format. Resetting filters changes only the view; the separate reset-results control in Account permanently removes your attempt history while keeping the account.
How do I report a questionable answer?
After checking a question, open Suggest a correction. Choose the issue type and explain what should be reviewed. The report enters an administrator queue and does not automatically change the published question.
I did not receive an account email. What should I do?
Check your spam or junk folder, wait a few minutes, and avoid repeatedly requesting another message. If it still does not arrive, email ben@effectsite.com from the address used for your account.
Can I use EffectSite on my phone?
Yes. Open effectsite.com in your phone browser and sign in with the same account. You can add the page to your home screen for quicker access; study progress remains attached to your account.
